Vincent Angelino Gains Admission to Multiple Prestigious Institutions.
On February 1st, 2016, SC Representative Mark Sanford made a call to local high school senior, Vincent Angelino, to inform him of his appointment to the US Naval Academy in Annapolis. In addition to this prestigious achievement, Vincent has been accepted to The University of South Carolina and Clemson University. As recognition of his ROTC service, he received 1 of 20 ROTC nominations to the US Military Academy at West Point. In addition to his academic and ROTC excellence, Vincent is a frequent volunteer for Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, where he has participated in ceremonies to honor our veteran patients, presenting certificates, blankets and pins showing appreciation for their service. Vincent is also an accomplished runner and lacrosse player. In 2014 he competed in the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Raider Nationals, which is a 9-mile run with intense obstacles. “Vincent is an outstanding young man and we are blessed to have had him as a volunteer for our organization. As a volunteer for our We Honor Veterans Program, Vincent listens to veteran participants when they want to share memories and stories of their military service. His compassion and dedication to the program is outstanding. We are overjoyed for his success and very proud of him. We wish Vincent a big congratulations and good luck for what will surely be a bright future! ” said Darlene Schuetz, Director of Community Relations & Marketing for Hospice Care of the Lowcountry.
