Lynn and Kevin King Named Admirals of the 2016 Yacht Hop of Hilton Head Island

Hospice Care of the Lowcountry is proud to announce that Lynne and Kevin King have been selected as admirals of the 2016 Yacht Hop of Hilton Head. This annual event is Hospice Care of the Lowcountry’s largest fundraiser, making possible their work as the only independent non-profit hospice south of the Broad. The Yacht Hop will be held May 1, 2016 on the docks of the Harbour Town Yacht Basin. Guests are invited to tour magnificent yachts and be treated to mouth-watering hors d’oeuvres prepared by some of the area’s premier chefs. The Headliners will be performing under the oaks and the silent & live auctions will be held. All proceeds of the event benefit Hospice Care of the Lowcountry’s patient care programs. Tickets are available to purchase on the Hospice Care of the Lowcountry website at hospicecarelc.org .

Each year, Hospice Care of the Lowcountry selects a person or persons to serve as Admiral for Yacht Hop of Hilton Head Island. These people are chosen because they exemplify those among us who continually give back out community and embody the finest qualities of leadership and stewardship.  Lynn and Kevin King have made countless contributions of their time and effort to improving Hilton Head and Bluffton communities. Included in Lynn’s accomplishments are appointments to the boards of The Bluffton Public Development Corporation, The Sandbox Children’s Museum, The Coastal Discovery Museum, the Junior League of Savannah’s Lowcountry Sustainers and Hilton Head Heroes. In addition she was named chairperson of the American Heart Association’s 2015 Heart Walk.  Kevin is an accomplished Realtor, former professional golfer, founder of the Hilton Head Island Amateur Golf Association and inductee into the Lowcountry Golf Hall of Fame.

Reached for comment, Lynn King said “Kevin and I are humbled that Hospice Care of the Lowcountry has chosen us as the 2016 Yacht Hop Admirals. We have lived in the Lowcountry for over 33 years and Hospice Care of the Lowcountry has been part of the fabric of our community for as long as we can remember. As a healthcare professional, I have seen first-hand the outstanding job Hospice Care of the Lowcountry does delivering services, support and compassion to patients and their families. They truly are a remarkable organization and we are delighted to do all we can to promote the Yacht Hop. We encourage everyone to join us for an evening on the docks, enjoying food, friends and fun while supporting such a wonderful organization.”
